The Walk is critical to Alzheimer’s San Diego, as it’s our biggest fundraiser of the year – and helps keep all of our services free to the community. If you haven’t already, please sign up for the Walk4ALZ. It is completely free to register, and every dollar raised will stay in San Diego County for local support and research.
To give you inspiration, we’ve put together a list of 20 beautiful and open places to walk this year in San Diego County. We hope to walk with you on Saturday, October 16th. No matter where you walk, know that your support will change lives.

Here are more resources about walking safety and other great places to go:
- Circulate San Diego is a great local mobility advocacy group, with some good materials/videos on walking safety, pedestrian guidelines for social distancing, etc.
- City of San Diego Parks & Recreation’s Therapeutic Recreation Services has a good list of the developed regional parks in the city.
- County of San Diego Parks & Recreation lists the county-wide parks by type (and has lots of other good information).
- Get Outside San Diego has great details about more than 1,000 parks all over the county.
If you have any questions or need help registering, please contact us at walk4alz@alzsd.org or 858.966.3319. We’re happy to help!
