Program Spotlight: Coping with Caregiving

Coping with Caregiving is a free 5 week series appropriate for caregivers living in San Diego County who are caring for someone with dementia at home. There are two versions of this program that we have available – one for caregivers in English, and another for caregivers in Spanish.

Coping with Caregiving in English

Participants will learn about the disease through guided conversations with the facilitator and through sharing with other people in the same shoes. Some of the topics touched on in the series:

  • Dementia and its unique stages
  • Strategies for managing and providing care
  • Strategies for managing stress
  • Creating a plan for the future

Coping with Caregiving in Spanish (Sobrellevando el Cuidado)
