Rides4ALZ Throttle Thursday: Route Preview

Here we’ll give you a breakdown of the route for Rides4ALZ 2024 and provide some other handy tools for June 29th! For your convenience, the 114-mile route is available to save on the Harley Davidson App and use on the day of the ride. You can also download a PDF version.

Kickstands Up

Registration will begin at 7:30am at San Diego Harley-Davidson on Morena Blvd and riders will start heading out at 8:30am from there. As everyone leaves the Pacific Beach area we’ll catch our stride as we pass by San Clemente Canyon and then Mission Trails Regional Park. We then continue east through Blossom Valley and start turning back west when the route hits Horsethief Canyon Trailhead. As we ride through the southeastern San Diego mountains we conclude the 62 mile first leg of Rides4ALZ and reach the pit stop.

Pit Stop

The pit stop will be at Pio Pico RV Park and they’ll be providing a rest area for all of our riders at the halfway point of the ride in Jamul. Here is where you can use the restroom, stretch your legs, chat with some fellow riders, and get a chance to re-energize before the 55 mile second leg of the ride.

2nd leg & After Party

After leaving the pit stop, we’ll be gliding alongside Lower Otay Lake and then through southern San Diego until we hit the beach! As the ride continues up the coast with the ocean breeze, we’ll go over the Coronado Bridge and see the beautiful views of downtown as riders enter the city and hop on the 15. Finally we’ll cruise by Snapdragon Stadium before reaching Miramar. AleSmith Brewery is where the ride will end and the after party will begin! We’ll have plenty of food, music, raffles, and more. The brewery is family and dog-friendly with a large indoor/outdoor atmosphere.

Register now for the ride on June 29th, plus non-riders can get tickets to join us at the after party! For any Rides4ALZ questions, visit our Rides website, call us at 858.966.3319, or email rides4ALZ@alzsd.org.
