Coping with Caregiving

Coping with Caregiving is a free program appropriate for caregivers living in San Diego County who are caring for someone with dementia at home – and ideal for those experiencing high levels of stress or burnout due to the level of care their person requires.

This evidence-informed 5-week program provides education about dementia while simultaneously teaches valuable caregiver coping techniques. It’s available throughout the year, virtually or in-person, in English and Spanish.

Topics include:

  • Dementia and its unique stages
  • Strategies for managing and providing care
  • Strategies for managing stress
  • Creating a plan for the future
  • Sharing and talking with others in similar situations
