Woman cheering at Walk4ALZ

Walk4ALZ is almost here, so we put together six quick ways to personalize and optimize your fundraising page. All of these tips are simple and easy to do, so follow along by signing into your Walk page here!

Personalize your Welcome Message

In the My Page tab, there’s a button on the right side that allows you to edit the Welcome Message that everyone sees right off the bat when they land on your page. When reaching out to friends, family, and other connections about donating, you want to ensure that they know why you’re walking. You can make it as short or long as you please, but it’s always more compelling when there’s a personal note for people to read.

Add a Cover Image

While on the My Page tab, you can hover above the default image and choose to add your own. You can insert a picture of the person(s) you’re walking for, a picture from a past Walk4ALZ, or any other picture you’d like.

Share a Video

Along with being able to post updates and additional photos on your page, you can also link Youtube or Facebook videos. If you don’t have any personal videos you’d want to share, an idea is linking a recap to last year’s Walk4ALZ so people know what the event is about!

Personalize your Link

Customize your page’s link to make it easier to share your page or for people to search it.

Share to Social Media

Although our Walk4ALZ page only lets you share directly to a couple of social media sites, you can of course take your link and share on any platform to reach all of your connections!

Donate to Your Own Page

By being the first to donate to your page, you’ll show people that you are also willing to contribute. Not only that, but people are more inclined to donate once they see that the ball is already rolling!

Along with these ways to optimize your Walk4ALZ page, we also have a guide for sending Walk fundraising emails, and another piece on general fundraising tips for Walk.

Walk4ALZ is on October 21st, 2023 at Balboa Park! Sign up for free now and if you have any questions, contact our Walk4ALZ Hotline by calling 858.966.3319 or emailing Walk4ALZ@alzsd.org.
